Flower and Colour

Lalbagh Gardens, the first time place I went to with my camera after moving to Bangalore. The best part was having to do it with two other close friends who got along their fancy cameras to get some colourful shots too. Here are a few experimental shots. I am not much of a flower person and I have no idea which is which; but I did love all the colour. :)

Of sand and stone castles...Mahabalipuram.

My first trip outside Chennai with my new post-grad college friends. Perfect weather, good friends and an amazing place. Mahabalipuram was a Sunday well spent. Temples and sculptures out of single rock caves, there are about 5 temples in Mahabalipuram. It took about 3 hours to get around the entire place. Truly an architectural wonder.

Towards the end it started to rain...the rain on the elephant carvings in the last photo just makes it all the more better.
The first of many trips in South India. :)

When the sky set itself on fire

One of those few evenings when you forget everything else, rush to your terrace with your camera and just can't seem to get enough of the sky. Some of my favourites, starting with the soft hues to the brilliant fireworks to the gradual ebbing away of colour.
